Guernsey Design Awards 2026 Shortlist Announced
The shortlist has been announced for the 2026 Guernsey Design Awards, celebrating projects that demonstrate excellence in architecture, design and construction across the island.
The Awards recognise outstanding design across Guernsey’s built environment, with entries spanning commercial projects, heritage schemes, residential developments, renovations and smaller-scale works.
Commenting on this year’s shortlist, Steve Powell from principal sponsor Norman Piette said:
“Every Guernsey Design Awards showcases the talent, creativity and craftsmanship that exists across our island, and this year has been no exception. The standard of entries has been exceptionally high, making the judges' task of selecting a shortlist incredibly challenging.
"Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted. We now look forward to the next stage of the judging process and to celebrating the winners at the Awards presentation in July.”
For 2026, the Awards also introduce two new sponsored categories: the Sustainable Design & Energy Innovation Award, sponsored by C8 Eco, and the Natural Light & Glazing Design Award, sponsored by Mumford & Wood.
All shortlisted projects will automatically be considered for these additional awards, recognising projects that demonstrate strong environmental performance, energy efficiency, innovative low-carbon design, and thoughtful use of daylight, glazing and the relationship between inside and outside.
The judging panel has already started site visits ahead of selecting the winners, which will be announced at the Guernsey Design Awards presentation evening.
